Step 1. Brush off dirt and debris.
Use a soft bristle toothbrush to gently brush excess dirt off shoes. Make sure you only use a soft toothbrush as you don't want to damage the white silk/satin.Remove all loose dirt as you don't want to rub the silk when cleaning your shoes. After removing loose dirt with your toothbrush, clean your toothbrush before the next step.

Step 2: Make
gentle cleaning solution.
Mix a solution of 2 parts cold water and 1 part mild detergent. If you want a milder solution, you can increase the water-to-detergent ratio, depending on how dirty your shoes are. The lowest ratio that can be used is 1 part detergent to 2 parts water.

Step 3: Gently brush dirt with
solution.
Using the same soft toothbrush (after cleaning), mix in the prepared solution and shake off excess water. Too much moisture in the fabric may cause water stains when drying. Gently brush off dirt with gentle movements. Avoid rubbing dirt inside your shoes. Dirt can grow. Repeat steps. It may take several attempts to properly clean canvas shoes.

Step 4: Allow the
shoes to dry overnight.
After washing the shoes, immediately dry them with a dry towel. Let your shoes dry overnight and you will wake up with clean cloth shoes! Your shoes won't look like new, but you can make them look like new by following these steps.
